 The basis of study in this department is mechatronics of which machinery(mechanics), electron and information(electronics) are combined. Moreover, mechanical engineering is emphasized, because it can help developing other fields of research such as robotics, space structure engineering and sports engineering.

 

  
 The students study mechatronics which is the most advanced technology achieved by merging mechanical engineering (mechanics) with electron and information engineering (electronics).  The field of research is diverse and covers a wide range; it includes intelligent robotics, sports bionics, intelligent information engineering, and space environmental system, and those have received hints from excellent each functions of the five sensory organs, motor capacity, information processing abilities of living creature and their adaptability to the environment, which are now playing active roles in the medical and welfare field



● Intelligent robotics course


 The students study intelligent robotics used for medical treatments and welfare activities, and drive themselves to become system developers and mechanical designers who are good with mechattonics.

● Sports bionics course


 By studying sports bionics, the students learn the functions of human being, and use the knowledge for improving medical equipments and efficiency of machines.



● Space environmental system course


 Through the study of wide range of fields, food production and comfortable environment in space are considered. The students learn how to use the acquired knowledge to the improvement of global environment.
